Republic of Ireland
We accept referrals from the Republic of Ireland and families are offered appointments at our London base. However, we also work with local professionals to support families closer to home. This can sometimes include attending meetings in Ireland with families and local professionals.
Funding can be sought via the Health Service Executive’s Treatment Abroad Scheme. We are unable to make applications for funding ourselves as these have to come from the referring clinician.
We strongly encourage referrers to arrange for funding as soon as possible. This helps avoid delays in the young person accessing our service.
Please contact us if you would like to discuss making a referral, or arranging funding.
We see a very small number of children and young people who live in other countries.
If your referral comes from overseas we will first need to establish funding confirmation before we are able to offer an appointment. We are normally unable to make applications for funding ourselves as these usually have to come from the referring clinician.
For referrals from countries within the European Union, you may be able to apply for funding (Form S2 – previously E112) from the local health service or insurance scheme. The European Commission website provides further details about the Right to Planned Treatment Abroad, including links to national contact points in each Member State.
We would strongly encourage referrers to apply for funding as soon as possible in order to avoid delays in the young person accessing our service. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this process with us.
