Dr Sarah Davidson
Consultant Clinical Psychologist
Tell us about your role..
I’m a Consultant Clinical Psychologist which means that I have two degrees in psychology (one of which is a doctorate in clinical psychology) and I have been qualified and working with children and families for a long time, providing different types of assessments, and therapies, and delivering training, supervision and consultation to different members of staff and organisations.
I work in the Tavistock in London but travel a lot around the UK including to Belfast at least twice a year, supporting the new service there develop and become established.
Do you have any pets?
I love dogs and have one of my own – Bertie who is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier mixed with lots of other breeds! His mother was rescued by a colleague of mine and six weeks later, she gave birth to Bertie and another puppy. Battersea Dogs Home didn’t know she was pregnant, so she surprised a lot of people especially my colleague who hadn’t ever had dogs before and then had three!
Do you have a favourite season?
I love being in the garden, planting different kinds of plants and watching them grow. Spring is my favourite season because after winter the mixture of bulbs and blossoms really look spectacular and pave the way for longer days (hopefully in the sunshine out in the garden).
