Systemic and Family Psychotherapist
You’re a Systemic Family Psychotherapist – what does this mean?
This means that my role is to help my clients and their families to explore the different contexts and relationships in their lives, and the impact that these may have on their health and wellbeing.
Where have you worked previously?
I only very recently started working for GIDS in October 2016, but for 8 years prior to this have been working in early intervention in psychosis (EIP), and will continue to be involved in multi-family workshops in this area.
What is your favourite animal?
Do you have any pets, and if so what are they?I have 2 cats called Audrey and Priscilla, who have very different personalities. Audrey is a typical cat, entitled and indifferent; Priscilla was a stray and it seems is eternally grateful, and has a personality closer to a dog.
I love dogs too, pretty much any animal that will allow me to squeeze it.
What is your favourite book and/or children’s book?
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl, I have vivid memories of reading it many times when I was at Primary School.
